Opening Day!
I’m so excited about the M’s season this year. Jack Zduriencik did such a good job in assembling this team. There are some head scratching aspects as well (Eric Byrnes at 11.6 mil per year?!), but all in all it seems as though the potential is there to build upon last year’s success.
So the Mariner’s took the A’s 5-3. King Felix delivered, if a bit clumsily. Way too many walks. Sheesh. The fantastic aspect of the game was Kotchman going 2-4 with 4 RBI’s. I was not expecting that, but run production is what this team desperately needs. Great job!
I can’t wait to actually see some games. And I don’t mean at the park, though that would be awesome as well. My television is dead, and I have yet to figure out how to stream the games on teh intrawebz (I will tho… I will!). MLB is out of their frickin’ minds if they think I’m going to pay for some “ticket”. I looked at it and it’s off the charts expensive for viewing baseball.

We are talking baseball here, folks. Baseball. Even hardcore sports fans have trouble staying riveted for a baseball telecast. I don’t have that problem, but I’m still not going to shell out hard earned cash for what should be 100% free. It’s publicity/advertising you schlubs!
